Nova Philosophy
The Bitcoin Nova is built on a simple belief. When people feel safe to be themselves, they ask better questions, tell the truth, and change their lives. Bitcoin is the tool. Conversation is the bridge. Human connection is the signal.
Staci is a Bitcoin educator, content creator, and community organizer based in the greater Chicago area. Her background as a longtime hairstylist shaped her ability to connect with people, build trust naturally, and create space for real conversations. These same strengths now flow into her work in Bitcoin. She is also the first salon owner in Chicago to accept Bitcoin, helping normalize everyday, practical adoption in her local community.
Staci is the creator and host of two Bitcoin focused podcasts, The Bitcoin Nova and The Hive Minded. Her work explores digital sovereignty, personal transformation, and the human stories behind Bitcoin adoption. She makes complex ideas feel accessible and meaningful by grounding them in lived experience, emotion, and real world impact.
Beyond her podcasts, Staci plays an active role in strengthening the Midwest Bitcoin ecosystem. She hosts monthly community conversations for the Illinois Bitcoin Council, organizes regional Bitcoiner meetups, and contributes to grassroots education through her own communities: The Bitcoin Army and Paranoid Bitcoin Anarchists .
Her commitment to Bitcoin education also extends into underserved communities. Staci is a supporter of the Altgeld Bitcoin Reserve, the first decentralized, community operated Bitcoin vault in the United States. She has also volunteered with Nigerian Women Bitcoiners, helping provide practical Bitcoin education to unbanked women and emerging markets.
Outside of her Bitcoin work, Staci is a wife and mother of three. She is fueled by curiosity, creativity, and a deep belief in human connection. She is married to George Costopoulos, an educator, creator of the The Bitcoin Basics series on The Bitcoin Nova, founder of BitcoinBlackSheep.com, co host of The Hive Minded podcast, and a performer and singer for private events.
At the Midwest Bitcoin Summit, Staci will share her grounded, people centered approach to Bitcoin education, blending real world experience, community leadership, and a deep belief in the power of sovereignty and human connection.
